How MIMOSI Health helps combat COVID-19 #2: How to Streamline COVID-19 Testing Workflows

MIMOSI Health is a trusted COVID-19 data management platform that provides stakeholders in community-based healthcare with the tools to collaborate, view comprehensive dashboards and streamline workflows.

Since the start of the pandemic, the fragmentation between hospitals, labs and public health authorities has been a major barrier to obtaining high-quality SARS-CoV-2 indicator data. The US and Spain are examples of how the lack of reliable data contributed to the further spread of disease (read more here).

MIMOSI Health represents an opportunity for a province, state or country to record and collect suspected and confirmed case data from multiple stakeholders using a uniform, one-stop shop platform. MIMOSI Health facilitates private, secure data communication between government and health administrators who are fragmented across multiple systems of varying sophistication.

Who’s involved in the test-trace-treat-tally workflow?

Here’s a summary of some of the user roles built into MIMOSI Health. For more in-depth information, send us an email at sales@peerledger.com.

Community Tester

MIMOSI Health provides Community Testers with the tools to register patients, book appointments, and update patient information, creating an initial trace for other stakeholders in the workflow. Community Testers manage their own list and coordinate with Labs.

Labs

Labs issue test results and MIMOSI Health automatically notifies the patient and their assigned nurse. Statistical data and dashboards are automatically updated to reflect the newly added test results.

Regulator

Regional / Federal government act as Regulators on MIMOSI Health. There are two levels of Regulators:

  • Regional regulators (e.g. provincial government) can access patients’ status, assign nurses, and manage the workload of nurses and contact tracers.

  • Federal regulators (e.g. the Federal government / Public health authority) can see data across a set of regions. Data of actual new cases per community from other stakeholders in the test-trace-treat-tally workflow - labs, lab aggregators, hospital data, long-term care facilities, border agencies, other community sites - is displayed on the dashboard and geo-map in real-time.

Nurse

Nurses can access their assigned patient lists, schedule secure video consultations for isolated patients and update appointment notes
